This is the Storkland building. It  merged with Alabama Uniforms in the early '90s, but both business still operated here until 2001, when they moved one block east up 1st. Avenue North. There really were band practice spaces upstairs. They were popular with Birmingham's hardcore punk scene in the mid 80's, partly because they were so close to Dr. Jeckyll's.
